About us
We are here to support, connect, and uplift communities
Krishnachura was first imagined in 2017, born from conversations, silences, fear, care, and resistance. It emerged from lived realities where gender minorities in Bangladesh were forced to negotiate survival every single day.
Krishnachura is not an institution I founded from comfort. It was born from risk, from exhaustion, from love for a community that is repeatedly asked to disappear.
As a transgender and queer person, a public health professional, and a human rights defender, I have learned that survival alone is not enough. We must archive, theorize, create, and build—even when the world is hostile.
Krishnachura is my promise to ensure that our lives are not reduced to footnotes.
We are history. We are knowledge. We are future.
